Welcome to Dinner and a Movie!

This independent film is a contemporary story of an Ojibwe family that moves from their rural home on the reservation in northern Minnesota to the faster paced urban environment of Minneapolis. The Red Elk family experiences city culture and gains insight into their Indigenous culture and traditions while trying to solve the murder of a family member. Dinner is made from recipes in Ojibwe writer Heid Erdrich’s cookbook, Original and Local: butternut soup, walleye cakes and red pepper pineapple relish, wild rice salad, bison burgers, vegetable cassoulet, and plum clafoutis.

There are a few new recipes uploaded (Turkish Bread, Swedish Split Pea Soup, and Egyptian Koshari). I also uploaded my Scottish recipes from Case Histories.
